I started out at about 315 pounds I have lost about 75 pounds to date. I am more than half way to my goal weight but I want to keep working hard to achieve it. I would like to be 175, but I did a Body Composition Analysis at the gym and it said that an ideal weight for me would be 205 with my body makeup. I was surprised. So I am actually going to alter my goal weight a little and then reevaluate it again when I get to my new goal. I went a little lower than 205 because I want to be under 200 so I picked 195. That's my new goal. Once I make it there I will reevaluate where I want to be. I just wasn't made to be a stick, which is OK, I just want to be healthy. My weight loss journey has worked on a positive circle, the more I lose the better I feel, the more I want to work out and so on. It has been such a life altering experience for me and I can't wait to live this lifestyle for the rest of my days.

I know what you mean. I went down from 215 to 180, then up to 186...now I'm 196, and I'm finally trying to turn things back around. But you know what? You can do it. And if you backslide, that's ok too. It's not failing, it's human. Besides, if at first you don't succeed, try try again. And again and again. You only fail when you stop trying. And you know what? Sometimes we just need a break from all this stuff. So take a break, but don't quit. You're already halfway there, don't give up now. You can do it, you already have, you just have to continue. Don't worry, hang in there. :)

Well I still haven't found my motivation to get back on track. I'm really trying and I know that I want to, I just haven't. And now I'm sick so I can use that as an excuse.... there is always an excuse isn't there? Sad but true. I busted through all of those excuses the first time to drop the 70 pounds. I know that I can do it again. I just have to get in that mindset. You would think putting the weight back on would be enough to scare me. It hasn't been yet.. we will see. I know I can do it, I just have to Do it!!!

I think something's wrong with my page, it wouldn't let me reply to your message. So I thought I'd just post it here. Have a great eating well and exercising day!!!

Hey Nicole,

I haven't really tried the South Beach Diet meals, but I do eat Smart Ones and Lean Cuisines, usually Smart Ones. Last time I had Healthy Choice, I didn't really like it but I saw on some commercial that they changed the way they prepare their food. The only thing I can really cook is spaghetti and I use all-white lean turkey instead of beef and whole wheat pasta. I made some on Sunday actually and I crumble a little feta cheese in it, which is weird (at least people tell me it's weird) but I love feta cheese. And, I love egg white and turkey bacon sandwiches...those are really good. Two strips of turkey bacon, Promise Healthy Heart butter, 2 slices of whole wheat toast, and about a half a cup of egg whites (make them into an omlet (sp?)) Have with a small banana and some yogurt or milk and a glass of water...best breakfast I've ever made. -Genevieve

ps Continued luck in your journey as well. :)
